The Kyoto University Library Network promotes open access to academic theses through the Kyoto University Research Information Repository (KURENAI).

We have launched an initiative to share research data on which academic these are based in cooperation with the Academic Data Innovation Unit. This website provides related information. Information provided here will be updated constantly.

Kyoto University Policy on Research Data Management and Sharing

Kyoto University has formulated “Kyoto University Policy on Research Data Management and Sharing.” This policy, approved by a university committee on March 19, 2020, serves as a general guideline in organizing, storing and sharing research data in Kyoto University. The document “Notes and Supplements to the Policy” explains the concept behind each article in detail and provides references for related issues.

Guidelines for Formulation of “Implementation Policy on Research Data Management and Sharing at Faculties and Departments of Kyoto University”

For appropriate management of research data in the process of research activities, “Implementation Policy” which describes practical concepts with understanding of the each field of research is necessary.
Kyoto University has formulated guidelines and template on March 15, 2021.  This guidelines and template could be useful to formulate implementation policies and regulations at faculty and departmental level.
