This book is a translation of Engaging Researchers with Data Management: The Cookbook (2019) by the Library for Research Data Interest Group of the Research Data Alliance (RDA), which includes 24 excellent case studies of research data management (RDM) support in seven countries.

Examples of the section headings in the book;
- “A Lightweight Approach Makes for an Excellent Return on Investment”
- “Little Time? Little Money?… But Still Want to Have a Community of Researchers Talking with Passion about Data? You Can Have It with Data Conversations!”
- “Confused about Where to Start? Foster Data Champions and Build upon Existing Services”

We hope that you will find this information useful and inspiring for considering RDM support.

The Working Group on the Project for Japanese Translation of Overseas RDM Support Practices is organized by the library staff from the Kyoto University Library Network, Osaka University Library, Kobe University Library, Nara University of Education Library, and Nara Women's University Academic Information Center. The purpose of the Working Group is to translate the book that describes the case studies of RDM support in overseas universities into Japanese, so that it can be used as reference for RDM support in the participating universities and other universities in Japan.
