[E-books] Unlimited simultaneous access to popular books from Kodansya
On October 1, Kyoto University Library Network has started offering unlimited simultaneous access to 70 e-books of Kodansha, including Blue Backs, Kodansha Gendai Shinsho, and Kodansha Gakujutsu Bunko, which are frequently used.
Please take advantage of this opportunity.

[Katsura/The North and South Libraries] Policy on Library Closures Due to Typhoon
Katsura Library, the North Library, and the South Library may close temporarily or delay opening hours on Monday, September 2, depending on the path of the typhoon and the operating status of transportation services.
(The libraries will be closed on August 30 (regular month-end closing day), Saturday, and Sunday.)

[Katsura Library] Exhibition of “Voice of Earth” design committee (Sep 13 - Oct 2)
このたび「ヴォイスオブアース デザイン小委員会 (VOE) 展」が桂図書館を会場として開催されます。
2023年4月に東京で開催された同展の巡回展として、桂図書館基金を活用した初めての展示会が実現致しました。
桂図書館1階シアタールーム前、2階のオープンラボに作品が展示されていますので、ぜひお越しください。

内容
本小委員会は、深刻化する環境問題をより広く捉え、自ら発することのできない地球の声(ヴォイスオブアース)を「翻訳」する建築デザインとは何かを議論してきました。本展では、設計者・教育者・研究者である委員の建築活動やプロジェクトを通し、エコロジカルな視点から建築学を再構築する試みをご紹介いたします。

- Wearing a mask is an individual decision. Staff will continue to wear masks.
- Please continue to take infection prevention measures such as hand washing and hand sanitizing.
- Please refrain from entering if you are not feeling well (Those with symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing or malaise.).
- We have items that you can disinfect yourself, so please use them before using the reading area.
- Readings of student ID cards and IC identification cards performed at the counter.
- We cleared the seat of suspension. All reading seats (North Library 16 seats, South Library 46 seats) are available.
- We will do away with the time limit for people outside the university (Includes alumni, retired faculty and staff). For more information, go to "Service Guide for non-KU users."

- We will continue the "Place a Hold Service" for materials.
- Please continue to use the "Place a Hold Service" for materials in the South Library of Engineering's archives, which will be cashiered by staff.
