Please leave all personal belongings in lockers. Only books, stationary, laptops and valuables can be brought in.<\/li>\n<li>Eating, drinking, smoking, taking photos and speaking on the phone are all prohibited.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iimc.kyoto-u.ac.jp\/en\/services\/network\/wifi\/kuins-air\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KUINS-Air<\/a> (for Kyoto Univ. members only) is available in the reading room.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>New arrivals<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You can check these materials out only during opening hours. These materials are kept in the periodical section.<\/p>\n<h3>Open shelf<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Basic Collection holds reference books, law and related books, Japanese law reports and major law periodicals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2F Open Books\u30fbReference books\u30fbJournals<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">This collection is available for short-term loan only. You can check out material only during opening hours.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2F Government<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">In the \u2018Government\u2019 section, up to 5 books \/ week can be checked out.<\/p>\n<h3>Stack rooms and periodical section<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">All the KU faculty, staff, and graduates can access the stack rooms and periodical section. Please show us your ID at the counter to obtain access.<br \/>\nUndergraduates, auditors, and visitors cannot enter the stack rooms or the periodical section. Please fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/3sjU8CrhhsHg9FqG9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the application form (KU Only)<\/a> to request the materials you require. The staff will then locate them and bring them to the counter. This service is unavailable from 12:00 &#8211; 13:00 on weekdays.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>B2, B1, 2F Journals,\u00a0LooseLeaf,\u00a0\u00a0Reports<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">\u00a0You can check these materials out only during opening hours.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>2F, 3F, 6F, 7F Books<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Almost all books are available. More details can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kulib.kyoto-u.ac.jp\/lawlib\/?page_id=29&amp;lang=en\">Circulation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>7F Rare Books\u30fbHatschek&#8217;s\u30fbTuhr&#8217;s\u30fbThaner&#8217;s\u30fbJescheck&#8217;s<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">If you are planning to see or take photographs of the materials in special collections or rare books, a special application is required. Please ask us how to register. As the registration process may take time, please plan accordingly before you use these materials.<\/p>\n<h3>Deposit<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Please fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/3sjU8CrhhsHg9FqG9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the application form<\/a> if you need any of the materials housed in the stack rooms at the Central Bldg. (location: \u2018Deposit\u2019). The staff will prepare them for you within a few days.<br \/>\nAs it may take time to prepare them, please allow enough time to receive the materials.<\/p>\n<h3>Master&#8217;s Thesis<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Please use the card catalogs to search for master&#8217;s theses. The author&#8217;s permission is required to see them or photocopy them.<\/p>\n<h3>Doctorate&#8217;s Thesis<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Please use KULINE to search for doctoral theses. You can read them from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The author&#8217;s permission is required to photocopy them.<\/p>\n<h3>Law School<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The materials in the \u2018Law School\u2019 section are\u00a0not available.<\/p>\n<h3>Materials with the location &#8220;Katsura Library&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Materials with the location &#8220;Katsura B1 Library Stack 3 Faculty of Law Materials&#8221; are located in the Katsura Library. You can order the materials from the Faculty of Law Library and use them. Please apply from the form below (external site).
