The Library Organization supports the electronization of academic bulletins and other university publications into electronic journals. These electronic journals will be made publicly available in the Kyoto University Research Information Repository (KURENAI).
If you are considering electronizing university publications and publishing them via KURENAI, please refer to[To those considering the electronization of university publications] (ECS-ID or SPS-ID authentication is required).
ORCID (https://orcid.org) is an organization that helps researchers worldwide obtain persistent and unique digital IDs to clarify attribution for paper submissions and research grants, and to ensure that individual achievements are correctly recognized. The ID used for this purpose is also called ORCID.
The assignment of a unique digital ID called Digital Object Identifier (DOI) has already become widespread for digital documents including papers, and "KURENAI" also assigns DOIs to dissertations and bulletin articles. ORCID is a system that assigns digital IDs to researchers in a corresponding manner.
Kyoto University acquired ORCID membership in December 2017. For services that can be realized through this, please refer to ORCID Profile Connection System (RIS-ORCID) at the Institute for Information Management and Communication.
Prior to the implementation of the ORCID linkage function in KURENAI, using the ORCID member linkage service "Society to ORCID" provided by Atlas Co., Ltd., the output information of applicants will be reflected in their respective "Works" sections as "Source: Kyoto University Research Information Repository (KURENAI)".
This is a trial service to be implemented in March 2018.
(Note) Target persons must agree to send their "name", "contact email address", and "metadata of the relevant output" to the information system of Atlas Co., Ltd. Please refer to the links below for an overview of the company's services and privacy policy.
