Online Book Reservation and Renewal - In Case of Trouble

When it is not possible to make a book reservation or renewal online, please check the following.

Trouble Making Book Reservations

  • When the item attempting to be reserved is not on loan. (ex. On the shelves.)
  • When the maximum reservation number has been exceeded.
  • When trying to make a reservation for an item already currently reserved by you.
  • When you have overdue books.
  • When you are currently under a late penalty. (In which case no items can be loaned.)
  • When the holding library does not take advantage of online reservation service.

Trouble Making Book Renewals

  • When the item attempting to be reserved has been reserved by other users.
  • When the maximum renewal number has been exceeded. (Only once.)
  • When the circulation type is "Vacation Loan". (MyKULINE indicates this as "circulation type 11".)
  • When the item is not one which can be renewed. (ex. journals)
  • When you have overdue books.
  • When you are currently under a late penalty. (In which case no items can be loaned.)
  • When the holding library does not take advantage of online renewal service.
