- In KURENAI, you can publish not only your academic articles but also your research data (evidence data for articles).
- DOIs can be assigned to research data (data supporting papers). A permanent URL is assigned, guaranteeing persistent access.
- You can register research data in KURENAI beforehand and then cite its DOI in a manuscript submitted for publication. You can also issue a URL to temporarily share files with limited access during peer review.

KURENAI is an acronym for Kyoto University Repository for Navigating Academic Information. It functions as a compass for navigating the sea of academic information. It evokes "Kurenai Moyuru," a dormitory song from Japan's Third High School, one of Kyoto University's predecessors, making it easy to remember and familiar to those associated with Kyoto University.
