Study Cubicles/Common Study Room

*Study Cubicles are currently available. (No reservation required)
*Common Study Rooms are available as learning spaces for Kyoto University members to take interactive lessons or for group study.(Reservation required)
 How to reserve a Common Study Room
 Accepted at the counter on the 1st floor of the Main Library.
 You can reserve from 1 week in advance.
 Notes:
 * Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You cannot select the room to use.
 * The room key will be lent out 5 minutes before the class or group study starts. Please come to the counter on the 1st floor.
 * If the key is not received at least 15 minutes after the start time of use, the reservation will be cancelled.
 * Reservations can be changed or cancelled by phone (TEL 075-753-2641) or at the counter on the 1st floor of the Main Library.
 * Please bring your own PC, earphones, microphone, etc.

weekdays: 9:00 - 21:00; weekends & holidays: 10:00 - 18:00 Calendar of Library Hours

How to use

  • Study cubicles (14 cubicles) are available for use by graduate students and faculty members for the purpose of study and research.
  • Common study rooms (5 rooms) are available for the purpose of study and research by groups up to about 20 people.
  • Each room has an internet connection, so you can access the web on your laptop.
  • To use these study facilities, apply at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor.
    You can make a reservation one month in advance.
    You cannot make a reservation by phone or email.
