For Non-KU Members (including alumni)

In order to use books in the Faculty of Law Library collection, Non-KU members (ordinary person, alumni) must make a reservation in advance.

Those who belong to educational and research institutions (universities etc.)

Please apply for a collection survey from the library of your institution. For a detailed explanation, please check the following page.
For Librarians(Sorry, this page is only available in Japanese.)
Once we have completed our investigation, we will send you a response. On the day of your visit, please bring your ID and a copy of your answers.

Ordinary person (including alumni)

Only materials that are difficult to use in other libraries can be used.
First, please check the collections of your local public library or university library.
Second, check to see if there are any digital resources available on the Internet.

Then, if you can only use books held in our library, please apply at least 3 business days before your desired visit date. (Available date: weekdays10:00-16:00, Staying time: 2 hours)

①Those who have a library card (library card for graduate etc. )
Please use [Only for library card holders] Faculty of Law Library: Requests to visit and view/copy books to request a visit.
We will contact you after confirming the reservation status.

②Other ordinary person
Please apply for a collection survey from the library of your institution or public library. If you are a librarian, please check For Librarians(Sorry, this page is only available in Japanese.)

Notice

  • Our service hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. As it may take some time to respond to your inquiry, please plan accordingly before you visit.
  • You can search our collection on KULINE, our online catalog.
  • Visitors cannot enter the stack rooms or the periodical section.
  • Smoking, eating, and taking photos in the library are prohibited.
  • We have some copy machines in the library. The copy machines can only be operated by using the COOP prepaid card. If you would like to make copies and pay in cash, you have to go to the copy corner located in the Clock Tower.
  • Some electronic journals that are permitted by the terms of use are available to visitors. Before your visit, please follow the steps above . You can print out articles  by the copy machine operated by using the COOP prepaid card.
