To commemorate the awarding of the Nobel Prize to Susumu Kitagawa, executive vice-president for research promotion at Kyoto University and distinguished professor at the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study (KUIAS), we will hold a special exhibition at Katsura Library and Yoshida-South Library.

In October 8th, 2025, Susumu Kitagawa, EVP and Distinguished Professor, who developed metal–organic frameworks (MOF), has been announced as the winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

    Dr Shimon Sakaguchi, professor emeritus of Kyoto University and former director of the Institute for Frontier Medical Sciences (now the Institute for Life and Medical Sciences) has been awarded this year's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
    To celebrate this achievement, the Medical Library is holding a special exhibition.
