[Library Network]Notification: Changes in the email addresses receiving notification from the library information system

Regarding the prior notification by Information Infrastructure Department “【Limited on-Campus】Beware of Mistyped Email Addresses” (* issued Dec. 9, 2021),
we will make a change so that all notification emails from the library information system to library users are addressed only to
KUMOI (Kyoto University Mail for Students and Researchers) or KUMail (Kyoto University Mail for Faculty and Staff) addresses.

This change will be in effect from Mar. 8, 2022 (Tue), and after the date all emails from the library information system will be sent only to KUMOI or KUMail addresses.
To receive emails in email addresses other than KUMOI or KUMail, you can configure the KUMOI or KUMail system to forward emails to any your desired addresses.
Please see instructions below.

The details of the changes are as follows.

■ Date of change (Planned)
 March 8, 2022 (Tue)
 The registered email addresses will be changed by the Main Library.

■ This policy change affect the following users
 ・All full-time faculty and staff
 ・Any part-time faculty and staff who has registered a library account and owns an Authentication IC Card
 ・All regular students (all undergraduates and graduate students)
 ・Other students who have registered a library account and whose KUMOI or KUMail addresses can be registered to the library information system ( This policy change may not be applicable to some other students.)

 ・For KUMOI users:

■ System changes of the MyKULINE
 We will also change our online services "MyKULINE" settings.
 The change is planned in late February. →The date of change: February 24, 2022(Thu) 
 
 After the change, library users cannot enter/correct their email addresses by themselves on the following MyKULINE pages.
  1. Change Personal info.
  2. Reservation Request (including mobile MyKULINE)
  3. Copy Request
  4. Loan Request
  5. Register New Search Alert and Modify Search Alert
  6. Register New Serial Alert and Modify Serial Alert
  7. Purchase Request (for faculty members)
 
  After the change, please select your email address shown in the "E-mail" pull-down list on the pages 2 to 7 of the above. 
  If you have registered your e-mail address other than KUMOI or KUMail on the settings, the address will be changed to KUMOI or KUMail address after Mar. 8, 2022 (Tue) automatically.

[Katsura Library] New collection "Diversity & Inclusion Books" has been released!

Katsura Library has made the new collection "Diversity & Inclusion Books." (abbr. D&I Books)

"Diversity" means being composed of different races, genders, career backgrounds, skills, etc.
And "inclusion" is the practice of providing everyone with equal access to opportunities and resources. 

"Diversity & Inclusion Books" is the collection about gender gap, gender equality, human rights, mental health, and so on.
Let's deepen your knowledge of these social issues!

If you will go on to graduate school or transfer to a different faculty, please back up records on MyKULINE by yourself by your expiry date.
Please note that records on MyKULINE will not be transferred to your new ID automatically.

Who needs to back up MyKULINE records?

Those who will change their status need to back up MyKULINE records manually. (e.g. Students who will go on to graduate school or become a staff member.)
Those who will be reissued their library card are also included.

How to back up

(*1) It is convenient to export Library Record (1.1-1.4.) and Bookmark (2.1.) to document management tool (EndNote Basic) and manage records on the tool.

(*2) Please be sure to back up manually of "My Search" (2.2.) and "New Arrival Alert" (3.1.-3.2.) since there are no export menu.
