 On 2023-09-06 (9727 reads)

Kyoto University will introduce the transformative agreement with Wiley that encompasses the Article Processing Charge (APC) and the e‐journals subscription fee from January 2023.

Under this agreement, APC discounts are applied to articles submitted to Wiley journals by authors affiliated with Kyoto University.

Please see the following website for information on eligible journals and OA publishing workflow. Please note that the transformative agreement does not imply that the Library recommends submissions to any particular publisher.

Wiley Press Release: Wiley expands open access agreement in Japan - John Wiley & Sons, Inc

[2023-09-06 Add]
If the publisher of the journal to which you are submitting changes from Wiley to another company (transfer), articles that have not yet been published (published in Early View) at the time of transfer are not eligible for the transformative agreements with Wiley (i.e., are not eligible for discounted APCs). Please note that in such cases, authors are required to pay the full amount of the APC to the transferring publisher (if you publish as a non-OA in a hybrid journal, you do not need to pay the APC). Please refer to the following file for details.

In August 21, 2023, we plan to renew KULINE, the Kyoto University library search system, in conjunction with the complete system update of the library system.

KULINE will stop updating data from August 11, so the lending status and other information will no longer be up to date, but you can still search the library.
It will be temporarily unavailable around 9:00 on August 21 due to switching to the new system.

Renewal Information

For specific details, please refer to the following announcements for each change:

Future Plans

We will strive to make our search system more user-friendly than ever, for example by supporting responsive design.
The screen structure is expected to be easier to read on a smartphone.
We hope you will continue to use KULINE.

[Library Network] Shortened URL of the bibliography after KULINE renewal

 On 2023-08-21 (1939 reads)

With the renewal of KULINE on August 21, the page structure within KULINE has been changed.
As a result, some URLs have broken links.

If you experience broken links, please reset your links and bookmarks.

URL of the top page

Current KULINE can still be accessed from the URL of the former KULINE home page (https://kuline.kulib.kyoto-u.ac.jp).

URL of each page other than the top page

The page structure has changed due to the renewal, so the link is broken.
Please reset your links and bookmarks.

Bibliographic shortened URL

The same current KULINE bibliography can also be accessed from the former KULINE's shortened URL, which begins with https: / / m.kulib.kyoto-u.ac.jp / webopac /.

However, for the following URLs, the bibliography has been re-created and links and bookmarks must be reset.

  • Electronic journal bibliography (URL beginning with https://m.kulib.kyoto-u.ac.jp/webopac/EJ)
  • Part of an e-book bibliography (part of a URL beginning with https://m.kulib.kyoto-u.ac.jp/webopac/EB)
