　図書館機構が運営している「京都大学学術情報リポジトリ（KURENAI : Kyoto University Research Information Repository）」が、スペイン高等科学研究院（Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas）による世界リポジトリランキング（2011年7月版）において、世界第8位、国内第1位と高い評価を受けました。　 ■ Ranking Web of World repositories July 2011（スペイン高等科学研究院） 　http://repositories.webometrics.info/toprep.asp 　KURENAI は、本学で日々創造される研究・教育成果（学術雑誌掲載論文、学位論文、紀要論文、科研費報告書など）を、電子的に収集し、永続的に蓄積して、誰もが無料で読めるようにネットワーク上で公開するシステムです。京都大学、図書館機構、附属図書館の各ホームページから利用することができます。 　このようなシステムは一般に機関リポジトリと呼ばれ、近年、世界で拡大しています。機関リポジトリは、論文などを研究者が自由に読めるようにする Open Access を実現するための有力な一手段であり、現在では世界で2,000以上が設置されています。 　KURENAI は、2006年の公開以来、収録論文数、アクセス数とも着実に増加しており、本学の研究・教育成果を社会に発信してきています。 [附属図書館電子情報掛]
