[Katsura Library] Opening hours from Oct.

Katsura Library had been closed at 17:00 in September. From October, the library will be open from 9:00-21:00 on weekdays as usual.

※Group study room and Theater room on the 1F are available until 20:45.

Katsura Library Calendar

■The way of entering and leaving the library after 17 o'clock

・Entering and leaving the library after 17 o'clock is possible only from the IC certification door (next to the automatic door) on the second floor.

・Please do not forget to bring your "certified IC card (student card, staff card)" to enter and leave the library.

・【2nd floor automatic door】 and 【1st floor IC certification door】 are closed after 17 o'clock.

※If you have only the "Kyoto University Library Card (magnetic card)" or the "Facilities Use Card" issued on the Katsura Campus, please click here.

[Katsura Library, The North Library and The South Library] The website renewal

On September 1, 2022, the website of Katsura Library,  The North Library and The South Library was renewed.

The design and structure of the website have been redesigned to make it easier and more comfortable to use.

Also, from the top page, you can access the pages of each facility such as the group study room.

The website is basically English/Japanese. Some of them do not have English pages, but we will deal with them gradually.

We will continue to enhance the content to make the site easy to use. 

 

[Katsura Library] You will be able to enter the basement stack rooms from July 14, 2022

Until now, materials in basement stack rooms (Stacks 2-5) were picked up by library staff. From July 14, 2022 (Thu.), you will be able to enter the basement stack rooms by yourself.

  • Who can enter: Kyoto University Members
  • Target materials: Books and serials that are labeled as "Stack 2" to "Stack 5" in KULINE
  • If you want to enter the basement stack rooms, please come to the Information desk (No reservation required). We will keep your ID card and give you a card for entering the stack rooms.
  • You can bring only valuables, writing utensils, laptops, tablets and smartphones into the stack rooms. You must leave all other luggage in the locker with locks next to the Information desk.
  • In the basement stack rooms, please search materials from your own laptop, tablet, or smartphone in the area where you can connect to KUINS-Air installed in "Stack 3".
  • When you take materials out of the basement stack rooms, even if you want to browse inside the library, you are required to check out materials at the information desk.
  • If there is a large number of users, you may be asked to wait for a while.
  • Non-Kyoto University Members cannot enter the basement stack rooms. If you want to use materials, please contact library staff.

        • Request to Katsura Library : All students belonging to Kyoto University (including auditing students, trainees, and research students)
        • Request to the North and South Library : Students belonging to the Graduate School of Engineering and the Faculty of Engineering (including auditing students, trainees, and research students)

        The NDL's Digitized Contents Transmission Service for Individuals to Launch
