Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) unites multiple, distinct archives into a single resource of over 100 types of primary source documents sourced from almost 100 libraries. Together, these archives explore the ‘long’ nineteenth century’s diplomatic interactions, evolving education system, religious reform and social revolutions, and more, all while capturing the human experience through the unique intersections of gender, race, and socio-economic status.

  • Archive 2: Asia and the West: Diplomacy and Cultural Exchange
    includes a range of rare primary source collections totaling approximately 2 million pages, sourced from The National Archives, Kew, The National Archives, United States, and other collections.
  • Archive 11: Mapping the World: Maps and Travel Literature
    includes Travel books, explorations, travel guide books, railway magazines, city historical maps, military survey maps, place name dictionaries and more from world-famous organisations such as British Library, The National Archives United Kingdom, the American Antiquarian Society, the University of Alberta Libraries etc.
