Kyoto University Rare Materials Digital Archive, which test version had been relased on September 7, 2017, formally started its service on December 1, 2017.

This archive, compatible with the International Image Interoperability Framework, IIIF, provides access to 3,719 titles of digitized materials as of December 1. At the same time, the downloading function of the built-in Universal Viewer has become available, by which users can download a JPEG image with the longer side of the rectangle up to 2,000 pixels.

The other remaining data on the former digital library site, now being digitized materials and others will all be integrated into this archive in the coming years.
