Kyoto University Academic Day is an open event for direct dialogue between the public and researchers.
Kyoto University Rare Materials Digital Archive will be participating for the first time, so please come and join us!

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Location: Underground Zest Oike - Kyoto City Hall passage
Details: Floor decoration with old maps of Kyoto and panel display of “The Tale of Genji”

 

●[Event 2] Special space

Time: 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: Kyoto City Hall B2F
Details: For two hours only, Kyoto University Rare Materials Digital Archive will open a special space. Original novelties will be distributed!

periodicals, brochures, advertisements and packaging, government reports, marketing materials, menus,
diaries and correspondence, ephemera, and more from 16th to 20th.
The handwritten cookbook collection is also searchable by Handwritten Text Recognition.

In addition, the introduction of Module II. has added a foundation for studying the historical links
between food and identity, politics and power, gender, race and socioeconomic status.
