It's reported that the new version of Mac OS and iOS(iPhone/iPad) ,Mac OS Sierra and iOS 10,will be released in a few days.

Apple announces that PPTP type of VPN connection will be unavailable in these version.

Therefore VPN connection of PPTP type will be unavailable in new OS with the connection service from off-campus provided by Kyoto University(VPN connection).
PPTP type users should refrain from upgrading the OS.

Information about a substitute VPN service is stated on a webpage of Institute for Information Management and Communication, Kyoto University.
