Discounts on Open Access Publishing
Some journals require authors to pay Article Processing Charge (APC) if they want to make their articles open access.
Kyoto University associates can get discounts on APC in journals listed below. You can also check requirements and how to apply on the list.

Kyoto University will have Transformative Agreements with Elsevier from April 2024.
Under this agreement, APC discounts will be applied to articles submitted to Elsevier journals eligible for OA publication by authors affiliated with Kyoto University.

Karger
Kyoto University members are entitled to publish their manuscripts open access in Karger journals at no additional cost if they meet the following requirements
Application period: April 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025
*Papers submitted outside the above period are not eligible.
*Kyoto University has a limited number of vouchers for open access articles.
Qualified persons: Employees (and graduate students / students) of Kyoto university (hospital) who conduct education and / or research, and must be a Corresponding author who actually submits a manuscript.
*If you are not the corresponding author but the first author or the co-author, you are not eligible.
