There have been frequent recent occurrences of users unintentionally downloading or accessing large volumes of data using pre-read browser functions.
Large volume data downloads or large volume access of which the user is unaware may occur, even if the user intends to use electronic journals in the standard way.
We request your cooperation in disabling these functions by making the below changes to your browser settings.

■Microsoft Edge
  Go to “Settings” – “Cookies and site permissions” and click “manage and delete cookies and site data.” 
  Turn off  “Preload pages for faster browsing and searching.”
■Google Chrome
  On the upper right of the screen, click the settings icon "︙" and “Settings.”
  In Privacy and Security, select “Cookies and other site data” and turn off “Preload pages for faster browsing and searching.”
■Safari (Mac)
  From “Safari” on the menu bar, click “Preferences.”
  Click “Search” tab and uncheck “Preload Top Hits in the Background.”

JapanKnowledge's concurrent user is 10.
Don't forget to logout by "Logout" button. (not [X] close button of your browser)

If you are having trouble connecting to JapanKnowledge, or are unable to connect, please give yourself some time to access them.
Also try clearing your cache.

In August 2023, we plan to renew KULINE, the Kyoto University library search system, in conjunction with the complete system update of the library system.

The following records will not be transferred after renewal. Please make your own backup in advance.

• Borrowing histroy
• Bookmark that change their URL (some Ebooks, Ejournals, etc.)

The following features allow you check your history, even after the renewal

• Reservation history
• Copy request history
• Loan request history (The hisotory of Inter-Campus Loan will be transferred to the reservation history.)
• Purchase request history
• Bookmark whose URL does not change (Books, Serialss, some Ebooks, Dissertations, Rare Books, etc.)
• New arrival alert

Due to the renewal of the library system, we will stop temporarily our interlibrary loan service from Aug. 7th (Mon) to Aug. 20th (Sun).
During the suspension period, ordering documents (photocopies and books on loan) from other universities will not be available.

If you would like to request photocopies or books by the end of July, please apply by Jul. 21st (Fri), 2023.
And also please be aware that if your order is between Jul. 22nd (Sat) and Aug. 6th (Sun), the earliest arrival of the documents is on Aug. 21st (Mon) .

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
If you would like to order any documents from on-campus or other universities, please apply as soon as possible.
