[Main Library] From October 2022, the "Study Room 24" will extend the opening hours!
After October 2022, you can study in the "Study Room 24" even after the library is closed. We will change some operations as follows.
- Monday to Thursday:9.30 am - 8.30 am (next morning)
- Friday:9.30 am - 9.30 pm
- Weekends & Holidays:10 am - 7 pm
- The day library is closed:CLOSED
* Due to cleaning time, the "Study Room 24" will be closed from 8.30 to 9.30 am.
The day before a holiday, the study room will be opened until 9.30 pm.

- When entering or exiting the "Study Room 24", it is necessary to identify yourself by means of your IC Student ID, Authentication IC Card or Library Card.
You cannot use the study room without your IC Student ID, Authentication IC Card or Library Card. - Only the drinks with caps which can shut tightly are allowed. No food allowed.
- During night time hours (9.30 pm - 8.30 am), you can use the specially designated after-hours restrooms.
- To ensure safety, there is a security camera as well as a watchman present during night time hours.
- Please always wear a mask, wash your hands and disinfect your fingers.

[Katsura Library, The North Library and The South Library] The website renewal
On September 1, 2022, the website of Katsura Library, The North Library and The South Library was renewed.

The design and structure of the website have been redesigned to make it easier and more comfortable to use.
Also, from the top page, you can access the pages of each facility such as the group study room.
The website is basically English/Japanese. Some of them do not have English pages, but we will deal with them gradually.
We will continue to enhance the content to make the site easy to use.

The Kyoto University Library Network provides students with eBooks for lectures and their studies.
We would like to ask for your recommendations of eBooks that you think would be useful for students in second semester AY2022.
Persons eligible to make recommendations
All Kyoto University faculty members (Including part-time lecturers)
eBooks eligible for recommendation
・eBooks that will be used for liberal arts and sciences (ILAS) courses in AY 2022, or that will be useful for students taking those courses.
・eBooks that will be used in undergraduate courses in AY 2022, or that will be useful for students taking those courses.
・eBooks that would be useful for undergraduate students studying at home.
*We will purchase books listed in syllabus of ILAS course sequentially. If you need eBook version, please make recommendation from the recommendation form. Not limited to second semester lectures.
* We cannot purchase eBooks which are not sold to academic institutions. Please refer to the list of titles which are sold to academic institutions at the URL below:

・Complete works, journals (including back numbers), newspapers

*eBooks purchased will generally only be accessible by one user at a time.

*We will proceed with the purchase procedure in the order of recommendation acceptance in consideration of the budget situation.

・eBooks will be available between mid-September and mid-October. Please check KULINE of their availability.
*The recommender will be informed only in the case if the recommended eBooks will not be able to be purchased.
